Tiger Leaping Gorge

Tiger Leaping Gorge is  about 55km away from Lijiang city, it lies between the Qiaotou town in Shangri-La and Daju town in Lijiang area, also at the gap through which the Jinsha River rushes between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain about 30km. The gorge is divided three parts: Upper gorge, Mid. Gorge and Lower gorge. The altitude in the gorge is about 1,900m both of Snow Mountains are more than 5,000m high, so it becomes one of the deepest gorge in the world. It is a special place for people to adventure (hiking or rafting).
