The Tibetan minority

The Tibetans with a population of 5,416,021 mostly live in the Tibet Autonomous Region. There are also Tibetan communities in Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. The areas where Tibetans live in compact community are mostly highlands and mountainous country studded with snow-capped peaks, one rising higher than the other.
Mt. Qomolangma on the Sino-Nepalese border is 8,848 meters above sea level, the highest in the world. The Tibetan areas are crisscrossed by rivers and dotted with lakes.

From Lijiang drive about 3 hours to Liming, on the way stop to visit the Shigu township and the First Bend of the Yangtze River, villages, fields…

Day 2 Liming---Judian---Tacheng---Qizhong 
Night in guesthouse by the Yangtze River
In the early morning spend about 3 hours’ hiking to visit the Thousand tortoies Mountain, from the top you can get nice views(big valley, mountains, villages…), then driving about 3hours to Qizhong town. area, on the way visit the First Bridge for the Yangt-Ze River and the Stone gate on the Yangt-Ze river.
