Trekking in Lijiang area - from Wenhai to Lashihai (lakes)
Day 1:
From Lijiang, we will take a car for 20 minutes to one of the small Naxi villages at the base of the mountains.
Then we will hike 4~5 hours to Wenhai Lake.
During this hike we climb through a pass of ‘Yulung Shan’, which offers spectacular views of the Upper Lijiang Plain, including the local villages, crops, unique floral diversity, and the surrounding mountains. We will trek between 2500 m and 3100m above sea level. After we reach the summit of the pass we will descend to Wenhai Lake where we will stay for the night at the Ecolodge.
We can either have a full lunch when we arrive in Wenhai, or a simple lunch on the trail. After arriving in Wenhai we will have free time to explore the village and take in the magnificent views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
From the Tiger Leaping Gorge to the Liming mountains
Day1 Lijiang - Tiger leaping gorge - Liming
Lijiang drive about 1.5 hours to Tiger Leaping gorge, then continue walking about 1~2 hours to visit the Up Gorge.
Having lunch in local restaurant with the nice view of mountains and Yangtze River. In the afternoon driving about 3hours to Liming area, on the way visit the Shigu Town (the First Bend of the Yangtze River)

Day2 Liming - Lijiang
In the morning, spend about 2~3 hours to climb up and down to visit the Thousand Tortoies Mountain.
Then drive about 3 hours back to Lijiang
From Tiger Leaping Gorge to Baoshan Town
Day 1 Lijiang---Upper gorge---Tea horse Guesthouse Night in the tea horse guest house.
Lijiang driving about 3 hours to Qiaotou, then hiking about 5~6hours on the upper trail to a very nice guesthouse .

Bird Watching at the Lashihai lake
At an elevation of 2500 meters, Lashihai (Lashi Lake) is the largest highland lake in Lijiang County, and an important habitat for over 70 species of migratory birds, the highest water bird species diversity of any lake in Northwest Yunnan.
This water birds inhabit the lake (10,5%), wetlands (22,8), and farmlands (66,7%) of Lashihai. Several of these birds have protected status, including the 20 listed bellows.

Night in Shibao Shan
From Lijiang driving about 3 hours to Shibao Shan in Jianchuan area, after lunch do some hiking to visit the temples. On the way from Lijiang to Shibao Shan area, you can pass by countryside where there are many small different minorities’ villages around fields.
Day 2 Shibao Shan -- Shaxi -- Lijiang
In the morning walking around this area to visit other temples, then hiking about 3 hours to Shaxi old town, then back to Lijiang
Weishan temples and Minority villages
Day 1 Dali - Xiaguan - Weishan

In the morning walking around the old town of Dali, then driving about 3 hours to Weishan. On the way to Weishan visit some local villages (Yi or Bai or Hui), crops…………stay hotel/guesthouse
Day 2 Weishan - Weibaoshan - Dali
stay in Dali
After breakfast, driving about 1 and half hour to Weibao shan. Hiking about 3~4hours to visit the temples to meet some Taoists, then driving about 3~4 hours back to Dali.
From the Yangtze River to the Lancang River
Day 1 Lijiang---the First Bend of the Yangt-Ze River (Shigu town)---Liming

From Lijiang drive about 3 hours to Liming, on the way stop to visit the Shigu township and the First Bend of the Yangtze River, villages, fields…
Day 2 Liming---Judian---Tacheng---Qizhong
Night in guesthouse by the Yangtze River
In the early morning spend about 3 hours’ hiking to visit the Thousand tortoies Mountain, from the top you can get nice views(big valley, mountains, villages…), then driving about 3hours to Qizhong town. area, on the way visit the First Bridge for the Yangt-Ze River and the Stone gate on the Yangt-Ze river.
