Discover the Lugu Lake and the Mosuo Minority
Day 1
In the morning, go by private car to Luguhu. On the way you could enjoy some amazing landscape and pass trough traditionnal Yi village in which the houses are made only with woods.
We will stop on the way to have a lunch before to reach Lugu lake in the middle of the afternoon. We will go directly in a small village after Lige which is really quiet and not touristic. In the afternoon, we might have a walk around the village and the lake, or just have a relax time in the guest house. The guest house where we will stay is very simple but very nice. Its owned by a friendly Mosuo family who will cook for us with some vegetables from their garden.
Day 2
We will leave early in the morning for a day trip around the lake. We could visit on the way some Mosuo and Naxi village, hike on small paths, enjoy beautiful view on the lake, learn more about walking marriage. For lunch we will stop in a small restaurant where you might eat some local specialities. In the afternoon, we might continue to hike, according your wishes, for few hours or go back by car to the guesthouse to have a relax time by the lake. In the evening, you will have a meal at the guest house.
The Mosuo Minority is a society with lots of traditions as walking marriage and a very important place for the women. Mosuo are a small thnic group living in Yunnan and Sichuan provinces in china, close to the border with Tibet. Consisting of a population of 50,000, most of them lives near the Lugu Lake, and High in the tibetan Himalayas.
Day 3
After breakfast we might have a new time around the lake, then, at about 11am, we will go back to Lijiang. We will stop on the way for the lunch.
To go back to Lijiang we will pass along the Yangtze river, in this way we will have amazing view.
We will be back in Lijiang for the end of the afternoon.
